Richard Zoglin has been a writer and editor at TIME Magazine for more than 30 years, and is currently the magazine’s theater critic. He is also the author of two books: Comedy at the Edge: How Stand-up in the 1970s Changed America (Bloomsbury, 2008) and Hope: Entertainer of the Century (Simon & Schuster, 2014). He is a native of Kansas City, Mo., and graduated from the University of California at Berkeley, with a B.A. in English and a master’s degree in journalism. He lives in New York City.
