In anticipation of the Tony Awards (airing tonight at 8 pm E.T. on CBS), the Washington Post gave me a chance to vent about the slim, and mostly unserious, slate of musicals competing for awards. The predictions are that Schmigadoon will snag the Best Musical award — which would be the perfect ending to a season of spoofery and camp.
